Hmmm well I have read in several SEO forums where it is advised that google search rejects and penalises listings that use icons and symols in titles and descriptions.

I agree with Jane, symbols should not be used in titles. I don't believe that descriptions are used in search so they could be used there.

Hi guys! Of course you are right. Maybe I should have been more clear in the post, but the title says that it is for your descriptions.

Although I would like to add that descriptions DO count in your SEO guys, so its important to first: only use these symbols before and / or after sentences as to not separate the words, and second: to maximize the descriptive words you use in your description. I have a previous post on this.
