Paying for Ads

Hello! I have a brand new shop and have recently starting paying for etsy eds to try to get some exposure. I have received a high click rate per view on a few of my items, but they are not converting to sales. Any advice to lock in those sales once someone has visited? I think it may be that I don't have enough sales/reviews to be credible yet.

Re: Paying for Ads

I turned ads on and got a few sales, but not as many as I was expecting. I turned off the ads, and my views went way down. I only have it set on $1 a day, but it adds up to a lot. I haven’t gotten many sales though.

To convert to sales, you really need in-depth descriptions and high quality pictures. For example, would you rather buy something with amazing pictures and a description that answers all of your questions, or something with pictures that look like they only spent a few seconds taking them and a description with only a few sentences? If someone is going to spend their money to buy something, they want to be sure that it’ll be everything they want and imagine to be.

Hope this helped!

Totally. It’s hard because I am SO not a photographer haha, I much prefer making sales in person. But I’m trying to get better at that since, to the customer, the quality of the listing = quality of product.

Re: Paying for Ads

I looked over your shop.  While I am also new, I have been doing some research into what makes a good Etsy shop.  I think you need to get more listings posted.  It was one of the things suggested to me as I was first launching in November.  Your photos show your items being worn and how they would be used, but I would make your cover shot for each similar and make it a " show stopper" photo of just the item.  (This was also suggested to me to have a similar or a few similar backgrounds to shoot photos on).  Again, I am no expert, but these were suggestions that were given to me and I figured I would pass them along.  Best of luck!!
