I took over the team a year and a half ago from a beleaguered captain that wanted out. I revamped the team entirely form one that had almost 200 member with no games and scant participation to what it is today. A team with 60 shops, 100% participation at least 5 days per week on one game and lots of playing and participation on a lot of other games, incredible support for each other and for me as their captain. I have two terrific leaders that I rely on.

I would like to see the team shops become more successful and branch out into SEO. I would like to learn how I can help each shop to become more successful and self reliant.

I am profoundly hearing impaired - but I do like the oldies from the 50's and 60's - can't understand the lyrics on songs I do not already know.

My customers love my fast shipping and customer service. I go above and beyond for every customer. Since my products are not unique to me, creating an image and a feeling for my customers is what sets me apart.

I wasn't the "founder" of the team. I am the 3rd captain. I wanted to be a leader/captain as I felt that I had information and experience that I could share to help other sellers succeed.
In three years I hope to have a higher level of participation as it has waned over the past 1 1/2 years. I also am working on an off-Etsy team site for advertising. Shh they don't know yet!
In five years - I hope to have bred some leaders to take the reins. I'm not a young person! I spend more time on my team than on my shop. I can't possibly do it forever.

My main Etsy shop is PrairiePrimitives where I sell my primitive folk art; I'll be celebrating my 8th Etsyversary in August of this year! For about 5 years, I've had PrairiePrimitivesToo; I started this second shop when I decided to separate the destash supplies, etc. from my folk art but I'm currently thinking about combining them again, because I rarely take (or make) the time to list in the destash shop. I can always push the destash to the back of the primitives shop!

I've created primitive folk art for 20+ years, or at least that's about when I started thinking of it as primitive folk art. I was very much into "country crafts" (sewing & basket weaving) before that. I still think about going back to basket weaving sometimes.

I founded the Sac Etsy Team a little over 5 years ago because I wanted to meet other local Etsy sellers. I'm a little surprised that Sac Etsy made it to its 5th birthday. I don't know where it will be in another year, or 3, or 5. I would like to think that team members will someday take some interest in making things happen (i.e., volunteer more to promote the team in the community, as well as online). We have a FB page (which is attached to a now-former member's FB account, Twitter, Pinterest, Flickr, Blogger, and an Etsy account in the team's name, because someone (not me) thought that was a good idea.

My favorite radio station is KNCI "New Country" in Sacramento. I'm a relatively new country music fan, but I was getting soooooo tired of rock and pop and when I found KNCI, I liked it from the first time I listened to it! I sometimes listen to similar music on Spotify, and some of my favorite singers include Chris Young, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake & Miranda, etc.

I co-founded the Integrity of Vintage team in 2011.

The goals of this team are to create an open and friendly atmosphere where knowledge of vintage, antiques and maintaining a sucessful Etsy shop can be shared and to promote and support the team shops and the integrity of vintage on Etsy.

In the coming years, we hope to grow our base, increase our knowledge of vintage and antiques, hone our SEO skills and encourage more active participation.

I like to listen to rock, jazz and blues. The last concert I attended was an Eric Clapton concert.

I like blueberry pancakes and heavenly waffles. I want my pancakes and my waffles, too. Hot maple syrup and lemon juice with the pancakes and berries and whipped cream on the waffles.

When I am not working in my shop, you can usually find me in our gardens, mulching, composting, watering, weeding and pruning. Not much planting going on, due to the ongoing drought. However, not even three years of drought can stop us from planting heirloom tomatoes. Here is a photo of one days harvest in June.

Hi, I am Claudia and I create needle felted animals, Waldorf angels and fairies. I am known for my woodland animals that have both realism and character. Although my angel tree toppers do very well at Christmas. I am also a book illustrator and will have the first book that I illustrated come out at the end of summer. I illustrate in wool.

My team is Waldorf on Etsy. It's a place for people whose art is inspired by Waldorf education. We are a very friendly and like-minded team. We aim to support each other and help build awareness of our team and shops.

Hi Everyone

The only nickname I've ever had is Sis and that was a family name I doubt if you want to call me that so just call me Marilyn, I'll always answer.

My shop is BACK AT THE OFFICE. I just recently changed the name from Marilyn1545, but that was a mistake anyway. I meant for that to be my Username but I made a mistake on my application and ended up with that as my shop name, I was going to be HANGING LOBES, I only had earrings when I first opened.

I sell jewelry in my shop and I try to make jewelry that the working woman can wear to the office. Jewelry that is somewhat modest, but not boring. Jewelry that would not be too outrageous for the office, but after work it would still look dressy enough to wear out and look cool and sexy.

My first team that I start is GOLDEN ROSE CRAFTERS for which I won my Fellowship. A year later I opened a second team Elite Alternative Promotions Team. So I Captain two teams.

As to GRC we call it a HOME team, a place where members feel that they can come and feel at home, where they are among friends, where they get support, encouragement, and help for any problems whether the problems are computer challenges, or Etsy challenges, or help getting their shops to grow and be successful. We try to offer educational services that members can take advantage of to better themselves.

I hope that in years to come that GRC will come to be known in the Etsy community first of all. But secondly known for the educational and mentoring services that we offer. I also hope to see the team get more involved and participate and get excited about the projects taking place.

I love Country Music. As a kid I played guitar and I could sing. I even sang with a group. But I had stage fright even after all the performing from childhood. Just never got over it.

Waffles or Pancakes? Wow! I guess it's just the mood I'm in. Mostly I like the syrup and other goodies I pour on top like bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream.

I've had the privilege of traveling all over the world and it left me with a desire to help marginalized people. I try to have at least one fair trade item in each piece. Since I haven't been able to travel much the last few years, it's been harder to get those components, so I've also tried to tie in recycled or locally sourced things too. My vintage shop is pretty much about freeing up space in my house!

Hello Julie, I originate from R.I. and we do not have to many Crafting shows around my area. Maybe the closest would be Brimfield Fair.....3 times a year and its in Ma. It is actually a 2 day affair.

I am sure all of us would love to hear about the Craft Shows in your area, have you every taken part in any of them and what needs to be done before taking part in a Craft Show? For instance, the involvement, set up, things like that.....Thanks, Norma :>))

Each show is unique as there are different organizers. I love the Handmadeology blog and they posted this comprehensive list of how-to links regarding craft shows: http://www.handmadeology.com/the-ultimate-craft-show-preparation-link-list/
Personally, I prepare by making sure everything has a clear price and my set up is streamlined. The good shows you have to apply for months in advance so I'm always looking 6-8 months ahead. I often approach organizers and ask for a whole section (& entry discount) for our Etsy Crew people so we can all be together. It's very nice to be able to take potty breaks, go on a coffee run, or have back up if my Square isn't functioning.These days the jewelry market is flooded so I'm starting to do more home/trunk shows. And it's just so dang hot outside here in Florida!

I created the team because at that time there was nothing available for Australians on Etsy. I wanted it to be a supportive community for both buyers and sellers in Australia and I am very proud and humbled by the amazing community that has evolved.

We provide a huge range of activities including chat, games, promo and educational resources. Everyone is kind and supportive ...its like one very large functional family.

I started my team when I witnessed computer challenged and Etsy Challenged people being embarrassed and humiliated and not getting their questions answered on other teams. They were humiliated for asking their questions to the point that they left the team, or just went mute and dumb (gave up asking and learning) so I felt they should have a team where people with these problems could freely ask questions and get help and never be embarrassed, and I have kept to that promise and have a mentoring program within my team for those that need help when joining Etsy and my team.
My goal over the next 3 years is to see the team grow, continue with an education process within the team helping the members with their shops to make them more successful.
I would like to motivate the members to come together in some charitable effort, this is still in a talking stage, but a 3 or 5 year goal.

I make wheel thrown and hand built stoneware pottery – mostly for home, kitchen, and garden, but my biggest selling items are sponge pots, yarn bowls (for knitters), and earring bowls. And so much more…

My team is local – the Buffalo Etsy Team which is based in and around Buffalo NY but we accept Etsy sellers from any of the 8 counties in Western New York. I think we’re the largest team in the state outside of New York City.

I am the second captain, though the first to establish regular meetings and regular activities for posting on our blog, facebook page, and now workshops!! We’ve even been featured on local TV!

Our team was established to honor the creative entrepreneurs of our community and we do as much as we can to promote, market and celebrate them. This takes place both online and in real life through meetings, workshops, and other gatherings. I’d love to see our team grow and gain recognition both locally, statewide and nationally. We’re all about Buffalove (which is the name of our team Etsy page!)

One side note – I’ve been wanting to participate in this fellowship for the past year (if not longer) but I was diagnosed with breast cancer just as it got started. It was like a full time job going to doctor appointments, filling out forms, etc that my participation fell away. I’ve basically recovered from surgery (two lumpectomies) but now I’m waiting for more news on whether I will have chemo before radiation. The cool thing is that I have a team mate who recently completed chemo and we’ve been supporting each other. I’ve also been “chatting” with one fellow here who also had surgery this summer. Great connections on Etsy.

I love music but in my basement studio I tend to listen to NPR and old cassette tapes on my old boom box (usually 80s and 90s music – very eclectic).
