I just purchased an SVG file to check out the delivery. It is a text file delivered in one layer. I assumed all SVG cuttable files for Cricut and Silhouette would be delivered in the many layers. Please help me understand. What do customer expect when they order an SVG file?
im sorry a text file? I would expect at least one layer that is a image, but i want.. multiple layers that are pieces together into one image.

this is good example, see how there are 3 colors.. each is a layer.. layered over the other colors so that this can be recreated with vinyl or cardstock using multiple cuts and layers for each color... the svg contains the cut details as well as the image details.
Some however may just give you a png file that the image was removed from that is a single layer. that isnt that great if you ask me, but then probably not as many people would buy it...
for your business you would consider it to be most likely card stock they would be cutting.. like you would offer quotes or calendars or pictures of your savior, and in svg,
lets say you took a picture of Christ and you made it so it was several layers that created a 3d effect.. then that would be neat!! or maybe take one of your calendars and break it down by colors into different layers..
we use them usually for iron on for shirts, wall art, or for decorating items like cups and tumblers or basically anything at all. holiday cards.. etc
Oh here is the perfect example, I bet people would like this from your shop as a svg where each color is separated into different layers..

this is the EXACT sort of images we use them for.. from your own site. people want these in SVG for sure!!
okay here I created a svg of jesus christ, this is the exact sort of svg that your own customers would want you would maybe add one of your verses as well.... notice it is 4 layers you could use this to create a wall decal, a t shirt any other kind of art, even could make a car decal with it.. notice how I seperated the colors into layers so when you cut them and then reassemble them it creates back the picture? this is helpful for cricut owners to create designs that are very simple but still look realistic a bit..
