The one in Boylan Heights? I'll be there!

Though I'm frankly nervous because of the weather. If the rain looks like it will be constant then I'm not sure....

Re: Local Events

Applications are due by August 29 for the Wake Forest Farmers Market's Fall Craft Market, to be held Saturday, September 19 from 8 am - 12 pm. (Applications can also be submitted from now until November 14 for the WFFM Holiday Market in early December). The Craft Markets feature a number of artists/crafters in addition to the regular produce/meat/seafood vendors. Applicants should be located within a 75 mile radius of downtown Wake Forest and should hand-make or substantially alter all items for sale.

More info and an application can be found here: www.wakeforestmarket.org/ourmarket/index

Re: Local Events

Yes, I'm a Durhamite and proud of it. My craft is jewelry making. I do not participate in any craft shows, festivals, etc, as I did participate in many of them many years ago and "not my cup of tea". So, what I do is give out photo albums with photos of my jewelry to a list of X-Avon customers (stopped selling after 17 years) and other friends and family, which works for me. And, BTW, have been making and selling jewelry for 40 years.

Two craft fair opportunities associated with the Wake Forest Farmer's Market, for anyone within a 75 mile radius of Wake Forest:

1) a September 10, 2016 outdoor "pottery plus" craft market ($40, 8am-12pm, applications due by Aug 20) http://wakeforestfarmersmarket.org/ourmarket/index

2) annual Holiday Market on December 3, ($65, 10am-4pm, applications due Aug 31). New this year, the Holiday Market is being co-hosted by Wake Forest ARTS and will be *INDOORS* at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre. http://wakeforestarts.org/artists/artisans-market/holiday-artisans-market-vendor-application/
