Team challenge May 2014: Celebrating diversity in ethnicity

Our team challenge theme for May is Celebrating diversity. Let's see dolls of all ethnicities and nationalities! Fell free to tell us a bit about your doll and where she/he is from in doll world!

If you wish to join the challenge, just post a link here to your etsy listing showing your doll. If your doll is not currently for sale on Etsy, you can post it to our Facebook page here www.facebook.com/EtsyDollmakersTeam - be sure to mark it "team challenge" if you post it on facebook. Please post entries by the last day of this month.

At the beginning of next month, all entries that are listied on Etsy will be included in our team treasury.

You may post up to 4 dolls , however I may choose only 1-3 from each artist to include in our treasury depending on how many entries we receive.

Please be sure that your items meet the challenge theme. Any other dolls may be listed in our New Listings thread www.etsy.com/teams/8062/dollmakers/discuss/9376132/

You may post new dolls, dolls you already had made, or doll clothing items that fit into our theme.

Thanks to Abbie Kim for this month's theme idea. We had a lot of good ideas this month. I hope we can use some of them for future challenges!
You can recommend a theme for a future challenge or vote for someone else's idea in the following thread

Hi Everyone,

Meet Doë, a 15 inch Waldorf Doll, she was made for my daughters 3rd Birthday and bears an uncanny resemblence to her!

So I guess you would say she is 1/4 Thai, 1/4 English, 1/8 Malay, 3/8 Scottish!

This doll is based on a woman I worked with years ago at Clinical Laboratories, her name was Dorethea Darris. I really loved her.

Here's my (vaguely multicultural) Russian nesting doll-shaped plush, made with Japanese chirimen fabric :P
