Eyelashes - what do you use?

I've seen several dollmakers using eyelashes on their dolls. I'd like to give that a try. So I got on ebay and I have no idea what to look for. I'm seeing D8, MB, LB, D1 etc. Are those sizes? None of the listings I've looked at actually give the dimensions, so I have no idea of what size to look for. I make 18 inch dolls. Can anyone explain what these are? Or maybe there is a website o something that explains this or a tutorial.

I actually have no Idea either what is the meaning of those D8, MB ... *sorry*

But I did make eyelashes for my new doll. I took thread, the heavy kind used to attached puppet limbs. The thread stands by itself and curves a bit, I think it works well.

On some dolls I made and this depends on the size of your doll, you can use false eyelashes. I buy the cheapest I can find. Apply them with a good glue. You can trim them, Cut them in half. You cans use single eyelashes. I tried making them out of, I believe, it was organza too. There's a certain way to cut it then you pull off the threads. I used it on a few dolls. It looked nice but my fingers are just too fat to consider making it a permanent part of my routine.
