Pricing

Are you more likely to buy something for $15.95 than $16.00?
Do you think it matters when pricing items in your shop?

Re: Pricing

I personally round up in my head anyway...so it's $16 whichever way you put it :-P

I think there are those people out there who think that .99 is less than a dollar (well, I guess it *is*...) but I don't think it matters in the long run.

I usually for my own eccentricities price everything in 50 cent increments...I have one thing listed for .65 and it just about drives my sensibilities bonkers.

Re: Pricing

That is is good question and I have often wondered what people think about 15.95 vs. 16. Also, have you ever noticed WalMart prices stuff at like .97 increments or .96? I wonder what the strategy is on this as well.

I agree with Abilgail and round up as well.

Re: Pricing

No I don't think that price difference would sway me to get the cheaper price. I did try that a while back in my jewelry shop here and no difference at all in sales.
I'm sure there's a reason the big department stores price the way they do,who knows :)
