refund shipping fess

My customer didn't use my coupon code and was charged shipping. I want to refund it but can't find any way in direct checkout. Any help??

Go to the receipt for the order. Look about half way down on the right side and you'll see Manage Order in blue. Hover over that and you'll see 2 choices, refund and cancel. After you click on issue refund you'll have choices. Select the appropriate one and go from there.

If I want to refund the price of one of my hats but not she shipping fees of $4.00 is this possible if DC was used.

Yes, follow Nora's instructions above. You'll see when you get into the refund area there are two separate boxes. One for refunding part or all of purchase price and one box for refunding part or all of the shipping price.
