pre-shipping deposits?

Hi there. I was hoping a member of admin or possibly anyone else who may know can answer this question I have about pre-shipping deposits. I thought that the only thing you needed to have it enabled in your shop was that your first sale was more than 90 days ago. It is still not enabled in my shop (though my first sale was over a year ago) so I was wondering, are they just not enabling it for everyone as it's in a trial period or something like that? If no, can someone shed some light as to why it's not enabled in my shop?

If you just signed up for DC there is a five day hold on funds while Etsy verifies your bank account.

If you have had DC for awhile and have received the banner notice of the release funds before ship, it will only include orders after you get that notice, not any before the notice.

Etsy only moves money on Mondays (Tuesdays if a holiday falls on a Monday). You have to initiate deposits if you want them sooner than that. Money doesn't move on the weekends so you can't initiate deposits on the weekend because Etsy will already have it scheduled to move Monday.

If any of those don't apply to you, you could contact Etsy support and they can probably help you.

thanks so much. I've had DC since it first became available. I haven't had any such banner yet but I see that it started for many people almost 2 weeks ago so I'm just wondering if they are only doing it for certain people or everyone?

I'm not sure of the time line to get everyone switched over.

Hi Jennie,

I've gone ahead and enabled pre-shipping deposits in your shop. Sorry for the delay!

For all future direct checkout sales, funds will be available for deposit the next business day after the sale is made, regardless of shipping status. The change will not apply retroactively.
