direct checkout order still pending from yesterday

I received a direct checkout order yesterday, and it is still pending. The email I have received from Etsy reads:

" Hi Ginger Simpson,
We wanted to let you know that you have a pending sale of 1 item.
We're still processing your order and will send you a confirmation email as soon as it's ready.
Do not ship this order until it's finished processing. "

All of my orders have been great with direct checkout so far, and I am nervous about this one, as it is still a pending sale and I have not received a confirmation email yet stating that it has been paid and can be shipped.

I have a 100% feedback score, and it would break my heart to lose it, for I strive to give my customers the best customer service that I possibly can. I also usually ship priority mail for super fast service.

I would like to get this order in the mail early tomorrow morning, and am beginning to get stressed over it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have contacted Etsy through Etsy Support, and am waiting for a reply.

I will be so appreciative when this is resolved.....smile.

Hey Ginger, hang in there!
those usually just take 24 hours to go through.
if you send a confirmation email, just inform the customer that you'll be shipping as soon as the transaction clears.

but don't ship till you get confirmation!
and no stress!

Ginger, it's Sunday. Life is long, please don't get stressed out about this.

That the sale is pending, is for your protection. When etsy hears from your buyer's bank, the funds will most likely be released.

I've had 6 or 7 pending transactions, all have gone through. One did take more than a day though.

Stuff happens that is out of our control. No one will give you bad feedback for not shipping until the payment is clear.

I sense your frustration, but save your worry. I mean that, no snark intended.

Thank you, Etsy administrators and Ev, for putting up with us as we fidget, stress and squirm our way through direct checkout. You either get a good laugh, or a good headache over us.

I, for one, worry myself silly when I don't understand something new.

Eventually, maybe DC will become a breeze with us, and with you.
