Whay are we cutting off paypal? That is a legitimate question. Until you have been on the wrong end of a transaction and see how paypal handles it, you would never understand or believe what they can and will do. Obviously from a business standpoint it is better to give customers as many options as possible. There seem to be loads of people selling on Etsy that do not trust or use Direct Checkout, and I am just the oposite. I totally believe we have a much better level of seller protection with etsy than we do paypal, and that is really the bottom line. I also believe in doing business with people that are helping me to make money, and that is Etsy and Direct Checkout. Paypal from my point of view is an ebay company that is in competition with the Etsy website. Do you think they will ever allow Direct Checkout to be used on Ebay? Never, and I would hope to see Etsy go the same route and make Direct Checkout an exclusive payment method here. I may be wrong, but to my way of thinking, the more Etsy makes, the more likley they are to advertise and grow, which may be a good thing for us sellers here. If paypal is making the money, I see no where that they will be doing anything to promote or help us in any way.
