Shipping question...

So, I need to ship a hat via usps priority mail, to a post office box in Texas. Since the post office is closed on Monday, Labor Day. I will ship it Tuesday. Here are my questions.....

1. Do I print the shipping label on Tuesday since that is the day it will be mailed?

2. Can I print the shipping label today, Saturday and send the package on Tuesday?

3. If I print the shipping label today through etsy shipping, can I have it so that it will be sent on Tuesday? I seem to recall that when i ship via paypal, it asks you when the package will be shipped. Does etsy shipping also have that option?

4. I'm nervous about shipping through etsy, never done it before so I think I will use paypal ship now. Should I just throw caution to the wind and ship via etsy? Is there any advantage to ship via etsy or does it matter?

5. Should I mark it at DC as being shipped when i create the shipping label or when I put it in the mail box? There's a difference of several days if I print the label now, since it is Labor Day weekend.

On PayPal shipping, you can choose the date you will ship. I think it only offers a few days into the future. I haven't used Etsy shipping yet, but I think I've heard/read that they don't offer this yet.

The post office usually doesn't get upset if the date on the postage is off by one day, but I'd be cautious about having it be off by more than that. Do you not have any PO's open on Saturday where you live?

I'm going to be at a show all day Saturday so can't make it to the P.O. I don't think it would move the package any quicker with this long Labor Day weekend anyway.

You can not use PayPal and instead create an account with USPS; the fee is less AND you can print ahead and select the date you wish it to be mailed. Oh and also request pick up at the same time.

I have been using stamps.com for awhile now and am very satisified, as business expenses go its pretty good bank for my buck.

Just got back from my long day at the show and read this response. First, thank you for answering but I'm afraid I don't understand your answer. What do you mean... "You can not use PayPal and instead create an account with USPS, the fee is less. ??? Would you mind telling me what you mean?
