New to DC - I think I made a mstake

I open up DC after I saw my Etsy deposit in my checking account. I got my 1st DC sale that day. I noticed that I have to ship before I get my money -find. But I didn't notice that it said "You can begin depositing funds on August 28, 2012."
I ship out within 3 days or sooner.
So my question is will I not get this $ or will it just take a little longer?

Thanks for your Help
Claudia

Claudia there is a 10 day wait on the first order ONLY. After that there is a 3 day wait.

Here's a link the Direct Checkout FAQ. This information should answer most of your questions.

The 10 day wait is not on the first order but the time needed to verify your accounts. Once you agree to and activate DC, Etsy will make 2 small deposits into the bank account you have associated with DC. Once you see those deposits in your bank account, you enter them in your Etsy Shop Payments account to complete the verification process. This is a one time verification for all new accounts so if you change your bank account, you will have another 10 day verification.

You can turn DC off during that verification process too. From that point on, there is a 3 day wait AND you must mark the order as shipped for the funds to be released. Etsy automatically deposits your available funds (available funds are from orders that have passed the 3 day wait AND have been shipped) on Mondays but if you can always request an earlier deposit too. It usually takes from 2 - 7 days for your bank to process the transfer from Etsy and each bank is different in how long it takes.

I didn't have to "verify" or "enter any deposits into my etsy account". I think that is the old process. Now, all you have to do is sell, and ship! Don't worry about the red tape kind of confusion on what to do. It is all done for you.

If your "shop payment account" says your deposits can start August 28th, then you do not need to wait 10 days for the verification process. I didn't wait either, that 10 days was waved for me and it looks like for you too? Depending on when you signed up... was it 10 days ago? if so, then you did wait the 10 days.

Might be a dumb question.. but how do you deal with digital items? They can't be marked ship.. so how will you ever get the funds for those things? Like digital collages?

Terri once you have emailed your item, just mark it as shipped.
