Marking as "shipped"

When you mark as shipped, will the customer receive a notification? A lot of my sample purchases are done digitally and I do not want the customer to be confused thinking they are receiving a hard copy sample if they are told the item has "shipped".

Your customers will only receive a shipping notification if you send them one.

Yeah - the sold order page format changed and the shipping notification button is no longer showing from the sold orders page with DC orders. Paypal orders do still have the button (and direct checkout orders *used to* before the sold orders page was reformatted). Now if someone pays with DC you have to mark as shipped, then click on the receipt page to find the shipping notification button. It's a pain and I hope admin reads this and fixes it.

Thanks for pointing this out - this is not the intended functionality - you should have the shipping notification on the DC order as well. Well get that done ASAP.

You can also just refresh the page to have the button show up.
