Ist week and a cancelation

Hi everyone.
I was so excited...my 1st sale!
The order came in on Saturday and I shipped it on Saturday afternoon.
Just now the buyer inboxed me saying she needs to cancel...
I have Direct checkout...
Items are in the mail and I assume the payment will be going thru...
what do I do?
I replied that it was already sent, and that I honestly did not know how to proceed.

Ohh, Cathleen! I can imagine how that felt:-( You didn't mention why they decided to cancel). What are your return policies? I've had one cancellation due to "hard times" for my seller and I told her to just ship it back in the original condition and I would gladly refund her money. Paypal deals with that quite nicely. Don't worry, it does work out and it really doesn't happen much..you take care, Donna

All worked out.... guess it was an impulse buy.
I offered her refund if she would send it back, but she decided to keep it.

Cathleen - 2 parts to the question

* once you've shipped then as noted you'd want it returned before refunding.

* to refund via Direct Checkout you use the Manage Orders link when you go in to shop payment account. The tricky part is if orders are sporadic and the funds were already deposited to your bank account then the refund would be charged to the credit card you have linked.
