Is the address on the invoice from Etsy or the Credit Card?

I received a message from a customer stating that she tracked the item I sent her and that because I failed to put her Apartment number on it, USPS was sending item back to me.

I frantically went to her invoice and there was no Apt. # anywhere.

She stated that her address in Etsy shows the apt. #. So my question is the address on invoice where we shipped it to comes from Credit Card she used or Etsy?

I don't know about the address thing...but if she calls her PO she may be able to catch it before it goes back to you.

I had this happen, I lucked out in checking the tracking the day it was shown as "not deliverable as addressed". I contacted my buyer and the buyer called their PO and the PO held it until it could be picked up or it was re-delivered....not sure which.

Ok I can't find the other thread, but took the time to look at the how to use direct checkout.

It seems like the answer is it pulls from Etsy unless the customer enters something different. Link here:http://www.etsy.com/help/article/1939

So, in any case, the buyer is always in control of the address and the address should show up the same way on both the receipt for the seller and the buyer.

I just wanted to put that here because I couldn't find the thread referenced by Evelyn. If I'm not correct with the info please correct it.
