I shipped a package today using the etsy label.... specifically sending it via usps Express International to Australia. I always insure my packages but never shipped Express International, it's usually First Class International.
Here's my complaint... I didn't realize that when you ship Express International, insurance is already included! So, I checked the box that I wanted insurance and was charged an additional $2.70 (for coverage on $167). I think there should have been something to tell me it was already covered so I wouldn't waste money.
When I went on the usps site to calculate the cost (after I created the etsy label), I just wanted to compare what it would say... it didn't show a charge for insurance and said it was included. Why can't the etsy shipping do that? Not cool!
