Does it really take that long for the money to get to the bank?

I just had my first DC sale last Thursday! Thankfully, the 10 day waiting period was up this weekend and it said my funds were scheduled for deposit today (Monday).

I was hoping to pull out some cash to pay myself today, but the funds haven't yet been transferred. Is that typically done later in the day?

And second, I just noticed that the help page says it will take an additional 3-5 days after the transfer for the funds to be available in our bank accounts.

Is that average for everyone? The money is available for you to take out of your bank account about a week and a half after the sale? I was just hoping to have access to my money sooner than that.

Christina the transfer usually happens at 4:30 PM. Everyone's bank is different as to how long it takes for the funds to appear in your account. My deposit always shows up on Wednesday morning from the Monday transfer.

I was just wondering this too :( I guess that's the same as PayPal, but it would be nice if the transfer says it will happen on Monday that the money would be there on Monday. Nothing like waiting over a week to receive money from an order.

Yes it does take that long which is really a big drawback! But the positives are worth it for me! I don't rely on the funds for a sale to create my items which are already made and ready to ship!

Since I signed up most of my sales have be DC, maybe only 1 or 2 by PP with both shops

I usually have my deposit by the next day. It does seem quite long. At least with pay pal you can use the funds to make online purchases or use the debit card. DC traps your money, can't even pay your etsy bill with it. I don't mind it too much though since less than half my sales are through DC.

Is there anyplace in our accounts that shows the fund and keeps track of DC funds. I am new to this.

paul look at your shop payment account. That is where you will find all the information on DC sales amounts, fees and funds sent to your bank.

Yeah, it takes an additional 2 days usually to hit my bank. So we are talking Wednesday- Thursday. But it depends on your bank.

According to DC emails I've received, it will take 18 days from my first DC sale to when I can actually access my funds. I was shocked. Fortunately, I do not have to rely on that income, but I mention this so that those who do need their money sooner can prepare themselves. If I were reliant on more timely deposits, I would have to drop DC. Truly, there has to be a better way.

Christina, the deposit for my bank is available on wednesday morning, so for me, a day and an half.
Each bank is different.

Also, you don't have to only have monday deposits, you can get one everyday if you like.

I just got my first transfer of DC money - Tuesday morning, after the transfer was initiated yesterday by Etsy. Somewhat faster than average, it sounds like! I am good with that, particularly since I am still getting other sales through PayPal. There is always the option to ask for the money earlier than the standard Monday transfer... I suppose I might try that next time, just to see how long it takes.

Mine came in on Wednesday, so I had a 6 day wait. If I ever have a sale early in the week, I will definitely be requesting an early transfer.

I am with Christin, mine shows up on Tuesday morning. I am grateful for that too since it helps with supplies as I am still fairly new. Of my 6 sales, 3 have been with DC. No big issues yet.

Yeah, mine did too (yay) but when I get a sale in the middle of the week, if the first day it's available falls on a Saturday, it automatically pushes it to Monday since we cannot request funds on the weekends.

So a sale on Wednesday becomes available on Saturday, but I don't get the funds in my account until the FOLLOWING Wednesday because they don't send the deposit until Monday. Make sense?

I am trying to learn how to be patient.

I'm really not liking this at all. I have a Merchant Account for my shop and the funds are in the bank the next day. The waiting time here is ridiculous.
