DC and the 3-day hold

Hi everyone,

Here with some good news! We're excited to announce that we’ll be reducing the minimum 3-day deposit hold to just one day! This will apply to shops that have been selling for more than three months on Etsy, regardless of whether they are currently signed up for direct checkout. As long as you've been selling for more than three months on Etsy, you're golden!

What does this mean, you ask? Funds are available for deposit the next business day if the item is shipped. This means quicker access to your funds, and shorter deposit timelines.

Eligibility is based on the date of your first sale on Etsy. To be able to take advantage of the reduction in hold time, your first sale will need to be more than 90 days ago. Shops that don’t meet this requirement will still have the 3 day hold until the specified amount of time has passed from your first sale.

I want you to know that we've loved hearing your suggestions on how we can improve direct checkout. Here in the DC Team, over at Etsy Support, in the Forums, and even a few times when speaking with sellers in person -- you have kept us sharp!

Eeee! I'm so excited! Of course I haven't had a sale since then, so I guess I'll have to wait to try it out.

I have not had any problems with the DC system other than the long wait for funds. I did receive notice in my shop stating the time reduction to one day, after the item has shipped. This is very good news!! I'm glad that Etsy is offering this method of payment, it gives my buyers some flexibility between DC and PayPal. Thanks Etsy!

THANK YOU ETSY ADMIN!!! This is too wonderful since I have 4 pending DC orders awaiting money from 9/17-19. Now they will all be deposited today, the 24th. I am thrilled. Yes, THRILLED. That money will come in handy. I hated listing "held" in my records until it was really deposited.

Also, THANK YOU ETSY ADMIN, for waiving the fee this month. How did you know some of us smaller shops needed that?

This shop meets the requirements, but we are still experiencing the 3-day hold. Help would be much appreciated!
