I've begged for this for months and months - Etsy should keep the unique item identification number is it assigned at listing time. My inventory is based on that number. PayPal keeps it.
In using an Etsy Direct Checkout there is no unique identifier to go back to (again!) Order number is newly assigned and transaction number is newly assigned.
Etsy: Please! Leave this unique identifier number in your system!!! It makes life so much easier for us sellers!
