Cancel and Refund

I just refunded a transaction about one hr ago and it went through Paypal. However, do I need to cancel the transaction also? Should I have cancelled it first, then refund later? The item is still in the 'sold' status.

If you want your fees back then yes, you can cancel the transaction. You did it the right way, refund first, then cancel. Make sure to relist the item if you need to because after the cancellation go through it goes *poof*. It will take about 48 hours.
