4th Small-Test Deposit Failed

Hello,

I tried setting up direct checkout twice, and both times it failed. The problem was with the numbers I had entered. So, I called my bank, got the correct numbers, and entered those. It failed again.

I contacted etsy, and they had me contact my bank again to verify the numbers. I did (and the numbers I had were correct), so I re-entered them. 4th time (second time with correct numbers), and it failed.

I emailed etsy again (they told me to let them know if I still had problems), and they haven't emailed me back yet. This was 6 days ago.

For now, I have direct checkout turned off, since it wouldn't work anyway if someone tried to use it.

Do I need to call my bank and let them know etsy is trying to deposit the $0.01, or is there something else that could be wrong? I've heard that sometimes banks reject the deposits if they are that small.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Calling your bank would be a great next step. Have heard that some savings accounts are not set up to accept automatic deposits, but I have never heard of a checking account that would reject one, even a small one. However, only your bank will be able to tell you if they are blocking something.

You can accept DC before you are verified, but you won't be able to access the money until it is straightened out.
