Lasr printer?

Hi everyone!

I have a laser printer, hp 1525 in think, that I love. The print quality is exceptional. I use it for printing party supplies, invites, etc. I am interested in making digital collages/svg files to print and sell for children's' rooms. Is it only acceptable to print these with an artisan type inkjet? I really prefer the vivid colors I get with my printer, but I don't want to offer a lower quality product.

Thanks,
Stacey

Re: Lasr printer?

I know what you mean, I have an OKI laser printer at work that prints gorgeous colors. However, from what I've read they're not archival. I have no idea at what point they start degrading but it seems everyone (including me) uses pigment inks when selling their artwork. On the other hand, if you're only selling invites and such they certainly don't need to last for generations :)

Re: Lasr printer?

Thanks Nancy.

I've read that inkjets are the standard. I wasn't sure if it was print quality vs longevity. I've read that there is archival paper available for laser printers. Not sure if that would help.

BTW your shop is fabulous!

Thanks,
Stacey
