Ink Refills

How does everyone feel about refilling ink cartridges, instead of buying a whole new one.

Tell me your experiences, where you bought it, etc etc.,

Re: Ink Refills

I wouldn't recommend it.
Chances are higher that your nozzle get clogged up eventually,
also it also makes you void your warranty too.

If you're very knowledgeable in terms of operating computers and printers,
I think you can give it a try. It might be helpful down the road to drive down the cost.

I guess also you can check out continuous ink supply system.
Overall, your print quality will suffer, I believe.

You can check out ebay and amazon.com.

Re: Ink Refills

I have worked for an ink refilling company for over 2 years (don't work there anymore) and I wouldn't recomend it, they are just not as good as oem products.

I hate paying full price just as much as everyone else but I prefer to pay it and have great prints. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me.

Re: Ink Refills

I stay true to the manufacturers inks. You just never know what you're getting elsewhere. I also subscribe to the office max ink rebate program, I get $2 back for every used ink I turn in. Takes a little of the sting out of having to buy new ones all the time.

Re: Ink Refills

Using off-brand inks WILL NOT void your printer warranty. The company will tell you this, but according to federal law they cannot void your warranty for it.

Now what I can tell you is that not all inks are the same, and using off-brand inks may not be the same quality as the printer company's inks. I've used replacement inks in my Brother, Epson, Canon, Lexmark, Samsung, and Konica printers, and the only ones that were "allergic" to the off-brand inks were the laser printers. (Don't judge me, I have a printer fetish.)

If you do happen to purchase an off-brand ink, I would suggest purchasing from a vendor with a money back guarantee.
