Can it be sent via Etsy messaging digital files that were sold?
The client says that the downloaded Zip file, but can not open it.

If they can't open zip files it's usually because they need to download a zip opener of some kind. I usually put in my listings that it's the purchasers responsibility to have whatever software they need to open zip files.
