Well, being as this is a newborn baby of a Team, I should start out to say that I invited as many sellers and tastemakers as I could think of on the fly----- people whom I have been following or whose stores I have favorited, and sometimes both. But I can't do this alone, and if this team is to grow, please consider who you think would benefit from or otherwise appreciate membership. Any other promotional ideas are also welcome. Message me or post them here as desired.
There will also eventually be a need for other administrators. If you're up to the task, nominate yourself!
As for introductions, let me begin. My name's Rebecca, and I live in Atlanta, GA, USA right now, but I've lived in a lot of different places, and I have family in Italy whom I return to two or so times a year. My biggest influence in terms of style was/is my grandmother, whose winter house is full of room after room of fabulous vintage designerwear. Sometimes she lets me take it with me.
She also had endless stacks of fashion magazines for me to peruse as I was growing up. Vogue Italia, Mirabella, Grazia, W back when it was good, you get the picture. I ate it up as I was growing up. Now I'm hopelessly addicted to the good stuff, even though I don't make quite enough to support the habit. I joke to my friends that some unlucky mugger is going to have the disappointment of his life when he tries to rob me based on my soignee appearance and discovers there isn't a dime in my wallet.
Brands I like, and am often lucky enough to find, include Max Mara (Sportmax, Marella), Prada, Marni, Azzedine Alaia, Giorgio Armani, Cacharel, Celine, Dries Van Noten, and a phalanx of lesser known Italian and French houses of design (Rocco Barocco, Rochas, Ted Lapidus, Daniel Hechter, Azzaro, Byblos, Les Copains, Comme des Garcons, Krizia.) Also, the 90s stylings of Iceberg. For shoes..... Maud Frizon, Sesto Meucci, Bruno Magli, Yves Saint Laurent, Charles Jourdan, and Salvatore Ferragamo.
Again, welcome, and if you feel like it, say a few words about yourself. Your influences, what you like now, et al.
