Venting...first "Neutral" feedback

I got my first feedback that wasn't positive...so frustrating!! Then shop at Walmart, hahah!!!

It was cute product and my girlfriend really liked it. I got exactly what was advertised, but not exactly what I expected. I got a "wire heart multi photo holder collage," but something about a $40 price tag led me to expect something better than the feel of a flimsy wire coat hanger. I appreciate that these are all made by hand, and I admire the craftsmanship that goes into them. I'm just accustomed to similar products costing much less at local antique/boutique shops, not to mention WalMart.

This review is saying that it expected better quality than Wal-Mart. The cruel truth is a handmade object has exceedingly higher expectations of quality than slave-made products. Anything on Etsy, whether explicitly stated or not, carries the word "Handcrafted" on it. That's a loaded adjective with high expectations.

Yeah I received my First neutral feed back, on my Craft and Jewelry supplies store about 2 weeks ago, I was Ticked!

The worst part was she didn't even read my title or product Descriptions at all, and fully admits it in the feedback, this is the Quote

"Thought I was buying the stamping...picture should show the mold, not the brass stamping. Misleading. I guess I should have read the description better."

The kicker was the first 2 words in the Title description were "silicone mold" and nothing in the product description, remotely insinuates it is for anything other than a silicone mold.

After that I took a photo, and in bold letters across it stated, "This listing is for a Silicone Craft Mold, this is an example of what a mold looks like," and posted it as the second photo in all of my mold listings, just for the Special shoppers that only shop via photo.

Honestly I would have been happy to have done a return, or given the money back, even thou it was Clearly her mistake. but she didn't even try to convo me before leaving the feed back.

I am glad I am not the only one to get pissed at neutral feedback. It is frustrating.

I am relived no one has ever compared my work to Walmart product or Walmart prices! that has to truly be the ultimate insult!!! I am so sorry!

I'm sorry Kathleen! I think your items are beautiful! I don't think people realize how much work goes into handmade items, I think part of the charm of handmade is that all items won't be exactly perfect like Walmart products. That's so frustrating, but don't let it get you down.

Hmmm? I think I would just send the money back.without any explaination....and leave the customer with a healthy last thought...they will remember you for that ......Nice is spice!!!!....Sprinkle some happy!

Thank you everyone! I definitely thought about messaging him to see if I can make him happy...but I just let it go. Hopefully anyone that reads that will get it...Esty is not Walmart, hence different prices! :)
