Hi All,
I am slowly but surely re-photography my listings. I recently purchased a digital SLR camera and am still in the learning stage and will be for some time.

Hi there,

I think you should have someone wearing the items to show them off.
Watch the exposure too, as some of them are a little dark.

@spinknit - love your shop. i like how you styled the scarf in the link you provided. the compositions for your other items are quite nice as well. i love esp. how you show off the texture, shape, and drape of the items so well. it's very tactile.

i would focus on cropping and how images fit within the frame. i think with the scarf you might want to experiment with pulling it back a little. etsy crops it quite a lot in the thumbnails so what's perfect (your shots full sized) looks cramped in the thumbnails.

some of the background competes on some of the images. i love the outdoors look. maybe having a more monochromatic fence background or item folded on a wooden table. i would shy from combining leaves and wooded background since the textures start to overwhelm the product.

Hi Mclovebuddy, Thanks so much for your tips and suggestions. I'll have some new listings to add to the shop next week. I'll pay more attention to the background in the photos and the cropping.
