Photo selection for impact and consistency

I've got a question about this listing of mine

https://www.etsy.com/listing/118405621/love-valentines-day-wood-word-art-wood

I've just taken a few new photos of it yesterday (digi slr) - the 2nd and 3rd photos are the new ones.

I've been trying to make my shop look more consistent as it looked a bit all over the place. That is, trying to keep all shop section products with at least a similar type of photo for the main/thumbnail image. Same background, angle, props etc

However, I like the 2nd image and may use that as the main image.

What is more important, consistency or using the best photo available??

I still don't have a sale yet so changing things around to see what works best..

In my opinion, your current main image should stay put. #2 is nice on a photographic level, but the background might be a bit distracting - at least for folks who are browsing through thumbnails. Once they're actually checking out the listing, #2 is fine.
Least that's my take - see my shop to see how consistent I am (not very...)

IMO, I think either one would work. I have heard and read in many online marketing articles that having a great picture is what draws the customer in. I think #1 is simple and does work. I think #2 is more inviting and personable.

I know this wasn't much help, but thought I would try :)

Thanks, I'll try both and see if there is any noticeable difference in views/sales
