Advice- Best Pattern Maker??

Hi All- I have a few photos I would like to turn into patterns. I am wondering what sites or programs you all use to create your patterns? I have found a few online but they always seem to be missing something (# of skeins needed, shaded overlap on pages... ect...)

there's a nice program called cstitch, although I'm not sure it does page overlap

Cstitch is open source so free , and it converts pics really well, but doesnt do great print outs or give much information. I use a few some are more expensive tho, Jane Greenoffs IStitch is relatively cheap , but doesn't convert pictures that well ( and only accepts bitmap images) but if you are looking to completely create your own deigns its great! does lengths of skiens needed etc.. doesnt do page overlap tho I havent found one that does that?

I use MacStitch which does everything that you're looking for. You do have to buy it though. I take custom orders for things like this though so if you'd like to have someone else create the patterns you need then why not have a look at my shop and send me a convo and we can see if it works. Hope that helps.

I also use KG-Chart, since I create my own patterns most of the time. But i don't advise it, cause it's really REALLY buggy, and I only use it cause I can't really afford anything else at the moment. But it gives you nice cross-stitched looking previews which I use for my designs, and also the DMC pallete.

Hannah- is MacStitch for Apple computers? I have a PC....

Yes macStitch is for Apple computers but they have a windows version imaginatively called WinStitch! Good luck.

I make all my patterns in Pattern Maker (you can see them in my shop).
