Unfinished projects....
I have a gigantic bag of unfinished items. All the wonderful ideas and things I started but just never finished...amigurumi heads, arms, legs, a couple half sewn dresses, shirts I painted on, afghans, last years Christmas presents....haha
Does everyone have a pile of unfinished projects?
Or is it just me? I don't know why they've piled up so high!

I have two plastic bins full of unfinished projects. (the large rubbermaid type). When I can't think of a new design to work on I will grab something out of the bin and finish it...unfortunately I keep adding new stuff that needs to be finished. I'm sure there are more of us.

I have an unfinished sweater that I am working on and on and on.....
I always get sidelined by some new yarn I see and just have to make something for my shop. Or,I start getting orders and have no time to crochet my own items.
But, for now it is just the sweater.

I too have many unfinished items, but I do eventually get around to finishing them off!!
I cannot just work on one project at a time, I have to have something on the go in knitting, crochet, sewing, embroidery as I seem to need a lot of items to work on at all times. It drives me crazy some days, but it just the way I am. I sort of flutter through each project! lol!

Right now I have three unfinished projects that I need to work on. One is an Eeyore that has to be shipped in September. Two others are 'creatures' that I had started about a year ago but didn't like the way they were turning out.
Eeyore will be finished but the 'creatures' may be stuffed as is and given to the local nursery.
Other than that, all my other projects are currently active and in progress.

And I like switching projects, specially from crochet to knitt and from knitt to crochet ! its is refreshing to me! call me crazy ;)

Yea, I always have a good number of projects going, but I also am so easily distracted I want to make everything and then I decide I need more yarn...
But I've been doing good resisting the temptations lately!

Re: Unfinished projects....
I found a blanket I started forever ago while I was cleaning my closet this weekend. Threw it out rather than finishing it since it was so messed up and uneave since I did single crochets and didnt even bother to count my rows. Wasnt worth finishing.
I have a bably blanket I started thats only a few rows in. Im gonna finish it as soon as I finish one Im making for a friend.
Also have a beach bag I started that only like 20% completed. I plan on finishing everything eventually.
There is also a bracelet I need to finish. I stopped since I was running out of headpins but I bought more so that should be getting finished soon.
Not to mention the latch hook flag I need to finish and the countless counted cross stitch things Ive started working on but never finished. I have a dolphin Ive been working on for years. Just need to do the back stitching. Its 90% completed.
Ugh. My list is never ending.

Yup, i have an entire 3 drawer plastic storage thing full of half finished stuff, plus random half finished things tucked away here and there that appeared after i filled the 3 drawer thing. Some stuff just need liners sewn in, some i wasnt in love with the way they were coming out, one is a blanket that i was working on to help me be a bit more patient and less instant gratification oriented (b/c that clearly worked really well :p ). i think it just comes with the territory of being creative..were also very easily distracted by other things that may be slightly prettier :}

I have two pocket books, that are so close to completion! I just need more yarn for one, and the other some kind of structuring material . . . just been putting them off.

I used to have about 4 works in progress going at a time, but since I know make things mostly on commission, I make one whole item, finish it, then move on to the next!

Re: Unfinished projects....
Wow, I just re-found this!
Glad to say I've finished and cleared out so much of my space!
It's so much easier to get the things you truly want done when you simplify it down. Like hardcore SIMPLIFY.
I went through my bags and unraveled things I hadn't finished for months.
And pretty much donated all of the yarn. I sure hope somebody else makes something rad out of it!
Just don't be afraid to let go. The stress of trying to finish so much at once is now gone.
Just a really good life lesson, I feel like, that I learned the hard way.
Good luck to all you yarn lovers and you're ongoing works of art!
:)

Re: Unfinished projects....
I have so many, I don't keep on track of them.
But, I tend to find them and try to finish it up. This spring I finished 4 sweaters!
The worst part is I can't find any crochet hooks cause the ones I have are stuck in the projects I have started with. End up buying more:(

Re: Unfinished projects....
I have a crochet 70's style coat I finished but just have to put together. The sleeves and hood. Then I have about 3 baby dresses that I have to put elastic on some buttons and some ribbon. Then I'm waiting to get some yarn to finish another project. I don't mind having all of these projects this way I won't get bored. I just have to control myself when I see a pattern I really really like and want to start it right a way.
