GREAT blogging book to read - "Platform" by Michael Hyatt

Hi guys,

I just finished reading a great book by Michael Hyatt called "Platform".

It goes through a lot of detail about the mechanics of building an legitimate online following and how to optimize your blog to be found through SEO. He uses a lot of WordPress references but I still think it's a helpful read for anyone.

Has anyone else read it? If not, I'd highly recommend! It gave me a lot of practical tips to think about.

I must try that book, Angela, especially as I'm on wordpress.

I would love to understand more about SEO too.

Emily, I learned so much about WP from this book! He recommends a lot of specific plugins (including SEO by Yoast which I've installed and love) It basically analyzes your post for SEO while you're writing it so that you can make sure to include your key words in things like the page URL, header, content, etc. It's really detailed for a free plug-in!

Aah, that sounds awesome! Sometimes I wish I had gone with wordpress rather the weebly! I do love it but also feel like I should have many given some other platforms a chance first.
Oh well, you live and you learn.

^ Very true! The nice thing about WordPress is that if you decide you outgrow Weebly, there is a way to transfer over your content from Weebly to WP in the future (so you don't lose all your posts).
