I have an order that stills says that it's still in pre transit even though I know for a fact that I shipped it off and the customer messaged me trying to figure out what's going on and it upset that she hasn't received it yet and I don't know what to do. Can you guys please help me with what to do?
Did you send it with a generated tracking number? What did you use to ship? Depending on the services used things get updated at different times. Do you mark it as shipped in etsy?
yes I used the Etsy shipping & I usually take it to USPS & yes I did mark it as shipped because they other packages I took to the post office that day are already to the customers but for some reason this one isn't
If you used USPS to ship it I would call the customer service number. Holidays are delaying everything in the post right now so it may just take a little longer to get there. They usually can tell you right where the package is, to help give peace of mind to the customer.
would it make a difference if I put it in one of the collection boxes because I have done it many times before but this has never happened to me
It may have just not gotten scanned in when it reached the post office. I would call the post office and ask if they could help trace it down for you!
if it was sent USPS you can send them an email regarding your package. You will need the tracking number.
This has happened to me before. In my case, it was the post office that did not scan my “bought from Etsy “ postage. It did eventually get there, but I’m not sure I was ever paid for it by Etsy because it never showed it was delivered. I did not think about payment till much much later.
it is Christmas time. Post Office does make mistakes. They are slow. Hopefully it will get there.
did you send it from a locked mail box?
Me again. I would remake it and ship again if I could. When original arrives, ask her to ship back.
