Question for experienced papercrafters!

Hi team,

I'm brand new here. I need to ask some advice from any experienced paper crafters here:

I'm learning to make my own gift boxes with card stock and a scoring board. My problem is that my box lid edges keep coming out uneven, forcing me to trim away any excess. Does anyone know how to prevent this?

Thanks so much!

Re: Question for experienced papercrafters!

My father and sister make boxes and they always seem fine with no trimming needed. As long as the edge is lined up with the edge of the scoring board and all the score lines are the same width they should match perfectly, especially if the card to begin with is squared/straight etc.

That's just it... I'm using a square piece of card stock, following the measurements exactly and cutting/scoring very carefully, but my edges are still not matching up. Maybe its simply a matter of more practice??
