Download Link Issues With Hotmail and/or IE 8

A recent buyer was not able to link to her download page from the link email sent to her Hotmail account. (really, Hotmail?) :)

I can't get much other info, she "... thinks her browser is Internet Explorer 8..." :)

Just wondering if anyone has experienced link issues from Hotmail or display issues with any flavor of Internet Explorer.

I'm thinking "user error" but wanted to check

I know the above isn't much info, but most clients don't know what browser version or OS they're using and we can't keep pestering them with trouble-shooting questions before we p*ss them off. :)

I haven't had any customer issues so far with hotmail, or browser issues that they've let me know about.

I do so agree, when there is a concern, you can only ask them so many questions.

I would think it's operator error and just email her the file :) I have had quite a few hotmail customers with no problems. I get more nervous with AOL because they try to use that little AOL browser that comes with AOL which is such a mess.

I have learned some people just don't know how to download files from the internet and are only comfortable downloading when the file is attached to their email
