Views to Sales Conversion - Want to know yours?

Knowing how many views you need to make a sale can really help you to understand your business better and what is required by way of marketing.

For example, if you know that you need 30 views to make 1 sale, this is a high conversion rate and means that you don't need a whole load of traffic to achieve sales. It also means that you clearly have a product people want or need.

If on the other hand, you need 500 views to make 1 sale, this is a low conversion rate. This could mean that there are issues with your shop that need addressing like photography, pricing etc., that you are not selling something people want or need or simply that you have a high end market product.

Knowing this conversion rate can really help you and this is why I am offering to give you this for free. If you want to know what your conversion rate is, just post here and I will let you know in this thread.

Figures will be based on the entire duration your shop has been open.

@NORAJUKU, the figures I give you here are taken from the entire time you have been registered on Etsy with your shop. I am not able to get stats for certain months. So if you didn't do anything at the beginning, then yes, this will have an affect on the overal conversion rate I gave you.

sales to view conversion rates will not change if you have made changes to your photos, tags etc. These figures only relate to the amount of views you are getting and the amount of sales you've had to date. Unless you've made many more sales as a result of these changes, the figure will not be different.

@Mary, you'll only know if your changes have made a difference if you compare your stats before that date to the beginning of your shop and then again after that date to today. Comparing those figures will show you if what you did made a difference.

I've improved my traffic through the shop greatly in the last year but the sales are still very low, so I would like to know my conversion rate.

If you've had a year out, then to calculate this, just check your stats and divide the number of views with the number of sales for the same time period.
