Views to Sales Conversion - Want to know yours?

Knowing how many views you need to make a sale can really help you to understand your business better and what is required by way of marketing.

For example, if you know that you need 30 views to make 1 sale, this is a high conversion rate and means that you don't need a whole load of traffic to achieve sales. It also means that you clearly have a product people want or need.

If on the other hand, you need 500 views to make 1 sale, this is a low conversion rate. This could mean that there are issues with your shop that need addressing like photography, pricing etc., that you are not selling something people want or need or simply that you have a high end market product.

Knowing this conversion rate can really help you and this is why I am offering to give you this for free. If you want to know what your conversion rate is, just post here and I will let you know in this thread.

Figures will be based on the entire duration your shop has been open.

@Judy It could have something to do with holidays or simply that you've changed yoru promotional behaviour.

Not sure if I am eligible as I have only had one sale since I opened in nov 2013 but would like to know. I have 90 items in my shop and I get between 0 -30 views a day at the moment

@Sherri, without doing a full shop critique, I cannot be that specific. One thing that is clear is that you must work on your photography. You could bright many of your images using a photo editing program like Photoshop or Gimp (which is free).

You also don't give your visitors any benefits of owning the item, you only describe the features. You should also vary your tags and include 'gift for her' etc. You should also ship internationally to reach a wider audience.
