Views to Sales Conversion - Want to know yours?

Knowing how many views you need to make a sale can really help you to understand your business better and what is required by way of marketing.

For example, if you know that you need 30 views to make 1 sale, this is a high conversion rate and means that you don't need a whole load of traffic to achieve sales. It also means that you clearly have a product people want or need.

If on the other hand, you need 500 views to make 1 sale, this is a low conversion rate. This could mean that there are issues with your shop that need addressing like photography, pricing etc., that you are not selling something people want or need or simply that you have a high end market product.

Knowing this conversion rate can really help you and this is why I am offering to give you this for free. If you want to know what your conversion rate is, just post here and I will let you know in this thread.

Figures will be based on the entire duration your shop has been open.

@elegantjewelrybyyaya 1 to 355 - be careful that your prices are not too low. This can be detrimental to your store. If you do not put value on your items, no one else will either.

Also, you talked the stats being off, is that why sometimes an item will appear has having been favorited but not show up in the views for that day or week??

@perlesdeverre 1 to 94 - You calculate it total listings views divided by total sales. The figures were only inaccurate for a short while. It is not necessary on Etsy to view an item in order to favorite it.

@thegiftgardenshoppe 1 to 218 - how long you have been open for has no bearing on this figure. The way it is calculated is total listings views divided by total sales. You cannot have listings views if you have no listings. :-)
