More than half of you are not using the website which has been especially laid on for you to be used and to get more exposure outside of Etsy. Not only that but it will provide you with valuable back links which will help your search engine rankings.

@Minh, we have over 200 categories so it would actually be impossible to have all of those showing on the front page. Even Etsy don't show all their categories, you have to click on drop downs to see more. It's simply not possible when designing a site to do that. Thank you for kind words. :-)

@Leslie, Perhaps you should add some more items as you'll have more chance of being seen that way. Depending on which category you're in, when the page randomizes your item may not show up each time if the category is well populated. We do clear out old listings more than 5 or 6 months old to stop the site getting too busy.

The paid pages are of course more exclusive and people do get more views there. :-)

Hi. I'm new to the team, but cannot access the site using IE 8. Opening page is all jumbled up type on the left-hand site, and I am unable to do any navigation. It was working on my computere at home using Safari, but not on my machine at work. Also, have boxes with red x in them where the images should be. Any suggestions?

@William, I have passed your message on to Joe who built the site. I'm not sure why this is happening and you're the first to mention this. I do know that some people who use Safari or Chrome have issues with certain sites, not just ours but just in general. We never use these because of the glitchy problems they cause.

@William, this is the response I got from Joe:

"This is a technical support issue, there could be a problem with the PC. IE8 may be in what is called 'compatibility mode', or maybe someone has changed the security level settings, it sounds as if it may be a shared PC at work, and someone has been changing some settings for IE8, maybe change to a different browser and see if the same issue occurs. Sometimes office PC's are 'restricted' and that can cause some issues, and users cannot add any software themselves. If they have a tech support team/person they should help. "

It's great of you to set this up. Any exposure beyond etsy is a good thing. That said, my shop stats for past month show no traffic from craftori website. I've just purchased a front page spot. Hope that will drive some new viewers;-)
Note to other jewelers: my feeling is that jewelry is an overcrowded category so getting views is really tough. I have had good results from the craftori pinterest board. Try it.

@Dix, in an effort to stop over-crowding in the jewelry and accessories categories, we remove items more than 5 months old. We appreciate that otherwise items are quickly buried and we wish to avoid this. Craftori is also still a very young site and traffic is continuing to improve. Remember too that your author page is a beautifully presented page of your items to which you can also drive traffic. :-)

We telephoned our server company who are having a problem. They said that the problem should soon resolve. They also told us that this should not affect your access to the site but clearly it is. That's why we didn't put a notice up. Apologies for any inconvenience.

I used the page and finally uploaded. glad I didnt give up. prior to this there were photo issues with sizing. yay I will post one a day. thanks for being patient with me. :)

My only complaint is, I just posted an item, waited several minutes and when I go to the category page, I cannot find my post anywhere. Tried refreshing. Checked the my posts tab and the post is there. Still not showing up in it's category. I love using the site, but if our items aren't necessarily going to even show up in a search, there's not any point to keep posting :/

@Mayah, all of the categories are randomized. Just because you did not see your item, doesn't mean that someone else isn't seeing it. Each page load shows completely different items. If you kept refreshing the page, you would see your item. Dependent on how populated the category is, will depend on how many times your items shows. We do remove old items to keep the more populated categories reasonable.

We just went to Accessories, Scarves and one of your items was shown at the very top of the page.

@Margaret, The aim of this team is to bring traffic to your items from outside of Etsy. Etsy have plenty of promotional things in place here, but this markets to other Etsy Sellers predominantly. We have set up the website so that Sellers can promote outside of Etsy (and other venues, we are not Etsy specific). Please read the description of the team on the team page as it explains what we're about.

There is no obligation to post your items on Craftori but you are required to register on the site to take part on the forum here.

Hi- one question....

I have been using the website but now am forgetting which pieces I posted and which I have not. Because what I view is randomized, I'm afraid to post with the possibility of repeating myself. Is there a way for slightly disorganized people to see what has been posted? I can see it behooves me to keep a record.

@Judy, If you hover your mouse over the logout button at the top, you'll see 'my profile'. If you click here, this will then show your author page showing all of the items you have submitted. You can then also use this page for promotion.
