New Member Introduction

Hello everyone,
I am new in this group. I just joind EtsyLush a few weeks ago. I haven't post anything yet but hopefully this weekend I am going to post my first items on EtsyLush. I am a blind ceeramic artist living in San Diego. I like making sculpturel utilitarian things and of course I love texturing my pieces because texture is color to me. When I pick up my pieces from the kiln the first thing I notice is the texture. People are very curious about how I choose my glazes and how I glaze my work. Well I should say, It is the most boring and also challenging part. But I have to glaze to have a finished piece so I do it. My color sellection is mostly based on my imagination. I associated colors with different things in my mind. when I decide which glaze to use I generally use these associations and match them with my pieces. Also it depends on the texture. Some glazes work better with certain textures. Well, it was a lot of trial and error in the beginning. I had to throw away many pots because I Used combinations of some colors no sighted person likes. Now, I hope I am doing better...
Well, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself a little to the team.
Wish you all many many creative days and Happy sales

Re: New Member Introduction

Hello everyone. I'm very excited to be here. I've been submitting listings to Etsylush for a few weeks now and I really love just browsing through it every now and then to see the new submissions.

I've been on Etsy for years now and have over 500 sales. I create aprons from custom patterns that I create by hand.

Thank you for letting me be a part of the team.
