IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF MEMBERS - please read

The new http://craftori.com site was launched on 27th September. We sent out a mass email to everyone who was registered on the old etsyLush site asking to go over to the new website and register there.

A message has also been left on the etsyLush team front page and on the submissions page informing people of the change of website.

Meanwhile, I have been continually posting here on the forum about the changes and asking members to go and register.

I have also sent out hundreds of individual messages asking members to go and register (most of those were ignored).

It is a requirement of being part of this team to not only register on the website, the focus of this team but also to fulfill certain obligations to make this team effective. Self promotion ONLY does not help anyone, including the self-promoters.

Team members obligations in a nutshell:
- Register on http://craftori.com
- Curate 2 team treasuries per month using the 'craftoriteam' tag and 100% items from team members
- Favorite items from your team members each time you visit
- Comment on 10 team treasuries each time you post yours, ie twice a month.

Because of the incredibly time-consuming job of writing to you individually and asking you if you have registered and/or have fulfilled your obligations, I am now going to automatically remove members who do not adhere to the team rules.

Please note that if you are removed, it will not be possible to simply come back again.

If you feel this is an error you will need to write to me, the Captain, and I will send you an invitation so that you can get back on the team (this is the ONLY way to get back on). You will also be asked to re-familiarize yourself with the rules of the team.

When I make a treasury, I just look through the team threads. That shows me those memebers are active.

If you just look for a tag, you have no idea if that person even participates in the team anymore.

I have no problem following the guidelines and do appreciate the hard work that team leaders put in.

The only think I won't do, and I think it only hurts me, not the team, is use up a tag with team tags.

@PiccadillyCottage Yes, we are all busy and I am not paid to run this team. I have given more than ample opportunity for people to abide by the rules. I did not just send an email, I have been posting about the changes here on the forum since the 27th September. If you have only just now seen this, then frankly, you should not be joining any teams.

I am under no obligation to write to you all individually, although I did send out hundreds of messages to many members. There is only so much one person can do to try and get your attention. If my last thread did that, then that's great. Good luck to you.

@Gina, the team requirement is to look for the 'craftoriteam' tag. Looking for active members is not a bad way to do it but if they're using the new team tag, then you'll know for certain they are serious about supporting the team.

I'll look for the tag when making treasuries then.

I guess I won't be in any though, because I won't use up one of my tags with the team tag. It's not because I'm not serious about the team, I'm just more serious about being found by shoppers. If ETsy gave us more tags, I'd have no problem with it.

Some sellers belong to many teams, and have quite a few tags dedicated to those...I guess it's a balancing act about which tags bring you more sales.

@Gina, you don't need to use team tags in all of your item listings, just using one or two means that you'll be found by your team members. Many that curate treasuries will then look around your store for the best item that fits their treasury.

I belong to several teams, and I have to point out that the teams that have rules and enforce them are the most effective and bring the most exposure. If you simply join a team and constantly post/promote your items without favoriting what others are posting in the thread, or don't make or comment on treasuries, it's a waste of time. Craftori and Etsy Lush, along with my Upcycling team have been the most beneficial, but you have to give a little to get anything out of it. Cathy, keep up the great work!

I have to admit, I hadn't realized this until just now. My only excuse is that I'd been super busy with a volunteer project for a dachshund rescue organization the past few weeks, and as a result, I was slacking on Etsy stuff in general.

Just registered and will try to be more active!

@Cindy, thank you. I obviously agree with you and I do try to strike a happy medium. I do appreciate how busy everyone is but if a team is not effective for everyone, then there is no point in having it.

Wow, i understand the need to keep things in order, but I'm finding it hard to juggle my full time job with maintaining my social media sites,I barely get time to promote my own things, I've had to set up automatic posts to maintain my presence online. I wish I had more time to make treasuries but I'm a big promoter of them, favoriting them here, posting them on stumble, twitter, my FB page & my blog, could this be my way of promoting the team?

@beazerk, unfortunately when running a team, I have to set rules and I cannot make exceptions because then everyone would come to me and ask if they could do things their way. This could make the team quite uneffective, for example if everyone just wanted to promote t's but not make them, there would be no t's to promote. :-)

It is up to each individual member to choose the marketing that they do and make sure that they can manage what they take on. If you have taken on too much, then it is time to evaluate what works for you and what does not and drop the ones that do not.

I also just registered and wool adhere to the rules of this team for now. However, you may want to consider from the amount of posts on this disscussion, that somehow something slipped through the cracks. When switching a website over, you must understand that their will be glitches.

@Cathy, I completely understand is which is why we put loads of things in place to get the message to everyone. However, it has been well over a month and only 1 tenth of the people previously registered on etsyLush are now registered on the new site.

I registered on the new site awhile back but have looked through my e-mails and don't have a notification of new requirements. I will get started right away to meet your requirements. I shouldn't have a problem complying and definitely do anything I can to promote for others too. Sorry if you feel frustrated but truly, this is the first I've read about this and am happy to to help in any way I can.
