Using a tent inside

Does anyone do this? I'm considering it for the next two shows but I'm not sure I want to go through the annoyance of the tent.

Re: Using a tent inside

I use a tent in a covered but 1/2 open on the sides structure. About 85% use tents, 15% don't-I think that using it helps to define my "shop". Plus, I use the tent structure to hang some of my smaller glass items-makes them sparkle!

Do you use the canopy or just the frame? I think I can display far more at these next shows, if I have my tent.

I sometimes use the frame but never put the canopy top on when inside. The frame is useful to hang things on and also defines your space.

Re: Using a tent inside

I once seen a tent inside a craft fair and it looked really nice.. ppl were curios to go in and see what goes inside lool.. so might be good, but I agree it could be a hassle

Re: Using a tent inside

I went to one of the local craft shows yesterday just to see if there was anyone new there (it's always the same crafters every year) and several people used their tent frames inside. I thought it looked fine :)

There was also a lady that used steel piping to hang stuff from - she made stained glass hanging art and it was all hanging nicely around her booth, high enough so if you walked in, you wouldn't run into it with your head

Re: Using a tent inside

I use my full canopy whether indoors or out because I need some form of structure to show my work.

When doing shows, I've got an 'inverter' (rather than a generator) that will allow me to run lights so that my work can be seen.

I get a fair bit more traffic when I use the canopy than when I don't.
