Team Annoucement - PLEASE READ

Hello team!

I have been absent from this team for a long time... I've had a baby, started a new business, moved several times in the recent past and want to let everyone know that I'm planning on deleting this team. 

I'm not sure at this point if I'm going to delete the entire team or if I will appoint a new Team Captain, but if you feel like you would be a good candidate, please send me a DM letting me know why you think you would be a good leader.

Lots of changes happening on Etsy as has been true throughout the 14 years that I've been here. As difficult as it is to embrace that change, we must. Otherwise we are left with outdated technology, stagnant ideas, and OLD forum posts.

I definitely am not in running to be captain, but I can easily moderate spam comments and the like. I have the ability to get on here Mon-Friday for a few hours in the afternoons/evenings PST. I am usually around until about 10pm or so.

I think this entire situation has been forgotten. I posted in another thread how to do any update to leadership, but I also don't see that that has been read. It is what it is, but I would surely hate to see this team die. And it appears to be going in that direction due to the sparse commentary/posts. And I do heartily dislike the spammer bots.

I truly, truly blame the new format. I despise it. It is why I haven't been around as much. It is very antiquated. Like, if I wanted to go back to 2001 message boards, I would see if Kiwibox was still alive.

I hope this team continues, I have enjoyed reading posts from this team in the past.  

I have not gotten used to the new format and I do find it very confusing to read what is new and relevant in this team and other teams as well.  

Is it possible to have more than one Captain or team leader?  (I am not volunteering or putting my hat in the ring, just curious.)

Glad to see people are stepping up. I think this team is a WONDERFUL source of information that I haven't found anywhere else. I am probably guilty of reading but not posting, and will try to do better (although I am trying to minimze the time I spend hanging around places like this and Pinterest...) 

I am sorry to read that so much information has been deleted. I have tried to find old topic without success, and had just blamed my tech-ineptitude.
