My new display

Really pleased with my new display! I found this garden fencing when browsing around Home Depot:

I had a friend make me some wooden stands (blocks of wood with holes drilled in the middle that the feet of the fence pieces fit in) and I draped the back with black satin lining My earring cards hang on the grid. The fencing is made of metal so my necklaces with magnetic clasps can just stick on (and I made price signs with magnets on the back too) They are four feet tall, so it brought my pieces up to eye level for buyers. Here is how my booth looked yesterday.

Gorgeous! When you draped the satin behind it, how did you attach it? I want to do a similar look with my large gridwall.

Thanks Claudine and Barbara! I used magnets to attach the satin. One thing I sell is magnetic badge/eyeglass holders so I have tons of magnets. When I first started with the magnetic holders I bought a box of bar magnets that are designed for name tags. They didn't work for what I needed (bottlecap type magnets did the trick) but they are great for this. I find if I buy something that doesn't fit my needs, if I hang on to it long enough it will come in handy some day.

Jen - We have a local farmers market and on opening and closing day they do a craft fair along with it. No wind but temperatures were a little nippy. I am in eastern Tennessee and we get some pretty nice days in November, but it really is taking a chance to sign up for an outdoor market this time of year. The booth fee is low and the people there are really nice - didn't make a lot of money but had a good time.

How heavy are the metal pieces? That is a great idea for sure! Thanks for sharing.

Phyllis - they are not heavy at all. I just checked the web site to see if it listed the weight and it doesn't. I have four of them and can carry them all at one time, although it is a little awkward because of their size) They are about 44" tall and 36" wide. And even though they aren't heavy, they are quite sturdy.
