Los Angeles: Artisanal LA vs. Unique USA show....
Hi there,
I was hoping to get some advice. There are these two big shows that take place in Los Angeles a few times a year. Artisanal LA is geared towards edibles vendors (happens mid October) and Unique USA features a mix of crafters, edibles, etc and takes place the first week of December. Both are juried shows with fairly high booth fees upwards $300 plus any extras...they are both two day shows.
I can't decide for a few reasons. Other than the high booth fees which I'm not too fond of, I'm not sure which show to do. I'm an edibles vendor so that is good and bad for the Artisanal LA show. Good because customers are going to shop for edibles, bad because there is obviously more competition. This one is mid October so I'm not sure people will be ready to Xmas shop yet. (My xmas sales took off last year starting on black Friday). On the other hand Unique USA is a mixed show with all types of products but it is during December which is the heart of Christmas shopping season.
Any thoughts, or anyone have any experience with either of these shows either as a vendor or customer?
Thanks a bunch! Nydia ;)

Are you a member of any local teams or artisan groups? They might be better able to answer questions regarding local events.
I'm up the road in Sacramento but I haven't heard of either of these shows.
