How many of you create Treasuries?

I love to look at them, but I just started making my own. They are fun but take a lot of time. I do however find that I get a lot of thank you's from the shops I feature.

I enjoy making them but I do spend an hour so on each one. I see some treasuries teams in which people will make requests to fill their treasury. For example.....Show me your orange items...... I never have used this approach but perhaps it goes more quickly if you have easy access to what you're looking for.

I LOVE making treasuries! They do take a lot of time...especially for a perfectionist like me. I will build one over several days before I finally get it right. I also love looking at other treasuries too!

I like making treasuries and keeping them updated :) adding new stuff when some of the items expire or replacing sold items

I enjoy making treasuries, and have found them to be a great way of getting to know other artists on Etsy. They do seem to draw traffic to my Etsy shop, also.

I do them using Shmetsy's tool..which oddly only works on my Firefox at work not at home so I only make them during the week. It makes it a LOT easier to create them. I don't update them as items expire though.

I love to make treasuries! That's the main purpose of my favourites... to find cool items for treasuries.

In the 'old days' there were only a very limited number of treasury slots so it was hard to get a spot.

I like making them and get lots of views of my shop when I make alot of treasuries. Often people will include you when you feature them....etc.

I use shmetsy.com treasury maker and convo sender to speed the process up quite a lot. The download is easy and fast. It's only available for firefox and google chrome though.

I love to make treasuries. I constantly put things in my favorites, and when I start to see a trend, I make them into a treasury. Then I share on my facebook as a way to help spread the word about buying handmade.

I'm with Gayle--I take forever to create just the perfect treasury! I think the least time I've spent on one was the one I did last weekend--my tribute to A Christmas Story. I don't follow Etsy's suggestions, but I do appreciate the ones that do it successfully. My treasuries are about things that I love--DISCO!, my dad, the caribbean, etc..

I had to cut down on making treasuries b/c that's all I was doing for a while there..lol! Treasury overload! But yes, I really do enjoy making them. I've had 3 treasuries make it to the front page so far, which brought in some nice traffic during those times! Lately though, I've been too busy to make them, so I'll be back at it again soon (just not on overload mode..ha!).

I enjoy making treasuries, generally from my favorites. The past few treasuries I've made I end up buying a few of the items myself haha! So sad.

I make them because it's enjoyable but also because I hope it gets me and my shop some more publicity. I rarely see an increase in views from creating a treasury, but my goal has always been to get one I've made on the front page, which hasn't happened YET! But hopefully someday...

I'm a treasury maker too. I don't do them too often because I think that they take a lot of time but I really enjoy making the color themed ones!

I like making treasuries. :) Mainly for teams I'm in but every once in a while I'll make a totally random one. Those ones seem to get less views though.

At first I didn't really see the point in listing thumbnails of things that I like. And from all the hubbub going on about it I had the feeling they were a pain to make. The fact that there is dedicated software for smart phone users that handles this automatically just reinforced that notion. But after I saw what it really was plus the pure simplicity of creating them I started making a series that I call "From A Guy's Perspective". For example here is one about light switch plates.

I am trying to make a treasury for another team that I am captain of and it's like pulling teeth! I started a thread and asked everyone to post thier favorite item from thier own shop. Sounds simple right? If you post an itemyou are in my treasury. In 4 days I've had 3 responses. You would think people would want to be In a treasury.

I have done a few treasuries. They sre fun to do. I have some ideas for new ones but just havent got to it yet.

I used to love making them, back in the days when there was a limited number and they expired after a few days. They were fun back then.

Now that they are limitless and without expiration, it has taken the fun out of it for me. I haven't made one since.

I'm just weird that way.

I've never made one. I like looking at them, but wasn't sure how much time it took. I'm afraid I'd sit here all day looking for just the right items. Oh wait-I do that anyway. lol

I'm on a vegan treasury team now and it's great because I'm featured a few times a week. It really makes returning the love a lot of fun. I don't use the Shmetsy tool because of the specific computer and browser I use. Instead I open up two Etsy windows in my browser and use one to browse and the other to create the treasury. It works for me.

I try to do them every couple of days. Lately I've been working on a letter of the alphabet every few days. I am up to "v". I love the exploration. I find all kinds of cool stuff. Guess that's why they call them treasuries.

I make one or two treasuries a week, mostly to post on my Facebook page for "treasury Tuesday." I keep a running list of things that I think would make good treasury themes, and I usually spend around half an hour on each one.

At this point, I don't know how much attention they get me or my shop, and they never get tons of views, but they're fun to make. And I always get a little thrill whenever one of my items is featured in a treasury, so I like to try and pass that onto someone else whenever I can.

I am lazy about keeping them updated, though...
