Display help!

I made wind chimes from sea glass and want to display them at craft shows. Indoor craft shows are VERY limited on space. Basically you get an 8 ft wide space deep enough for a chair or two behind the table.

I was thinking of using my 4 ft table and my shutters in the space, but now with the wind chimes, I'm not sure.

I thought I'd get a decorative shepherds hook and put it in something to stand up but the ones I can find in person so far take up way too much floor space.

So then I was thinking about my shutter. I use them for framed photos.

They're on the left in this picture.

What if I just got hooks to hang the wind chimes on the side edges? I was thinking the hooks you use to hang plants, they stick out a few inches.

any thoughts?

Re: Display help!

I know a seller of glass hanging lanterns she takes those Shepard hooks that have 4 hooks up top but one pole and cements the pole in a 5 gallon bucket and the buckets sit behind her table so the hooks and lanterns can be seen over the rest of her display.

Re: Display help!

I'd love to find a hook with 4 hooks, but wrong season.

I haven't given up hope though. I'm going to run to Big Lots in a little while - maybe Kmart too or ugh Walmart...

Re: Display help!

Hi,

I do not know when you need the hooks, but I found this on Amazon:

I hope it helps.

Re: Display help!

A few years back I stopped making wind chimes, because I bought a white canopy.

First years out doing events I had a ten foot umbrella, the chimes were up to 2 feet long and often wonky and wide. I used recycled desert finds and Prairie Glass shards. I made good money making those chimes.

I tried to hang them inside the canopy ceiling poles the first year I got my canopy. It worked well hanging them from the pole along the top in the back. Then people needed to come all the way in to look and listen to them.

I used a bungee cord, 4 inch with a purple colored cord. Ran the bungee through the open hang loop and wrapped it around the pole. This gave the chime support and I could jungle them to get people attention.

Here's some examples from my flickr account:

Good Luck.
