Crown display ideas?

I would love some help with ideas from you clever people about how best to display my crowns.

One time I displayed them from a wrought iron chandelier, which attracted attention, but the sizes and colors got jumbled as the day went on and it was hard to find what customers wanted. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3203897625178&set=a.3198344526354.2129090.1498234434&type=3&...

At the farmer's market, I've gotten lazy and just throw them all on a table. It's not very attractive.

The thread about displaying bow ties made me think of getting a few tubes and sorting them by size. Does that seem like a practical idea? I'm worried they might all fall to the bottom and look messy. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3407641518648&set=a.3198344526354.2129090.1498234434&type=3&...

Thanks in advance for any other ideas or opinions about the above! Liz

Re: Crown display ideas?

I like the second idea. Maybe you could you use some sort of pin to hold them in, so they don't fall to the bottom.

Re: Crown display ideas?

I also like the second idea with pins like Natasha mentioned.
Just make sure they are easy to put on and off of your display (if they don't have a button or some other type of closure, you can just put them on a tube that is not as wide as the crown and tuck the slack with the pin.. I think the slack might make it easier for you to take them off of the display).
Another thing I thought about is to spray paint several styrofoam balls and stick them on "stakes" of different heights. Then you can just place the crowns on top (put a pin for windy days). They will look like cute crowned heads! :)
Good luck and post a picture of your final display!

That is the one thing I thought about the tubes; that they might be hard to get the crowns off. I like Flavia's idea!

This is a great idea from Flavia: "Another thing I thought about is to spray paint several styrofoam balls and stick them on "stakes" of different heights. Then you can just place the crowns on top (put a pin for windy days). They will look like cute crowned heads! :)"

I would recommend thinking about using easy items like velcro to attach your items so that they don't blow away but also don't require someone to find the pin to get on or off.

Re: Crown display ideas?

I agree with Mel, I think that is the major issue with the standing tubes, they either all fall to the bottom or people have problems getting them off (where you have to take them ALL off just to get one)

I like the styrofoam balls idea and maybe baskets for extras? organized into sizes/however you do it.

Re: Crown display ideas?

I think some shelves would be a good idea, the tubes will look nice but lots of people won't want to touch them/take them off & will keep on walking as it's too hard. You want it so people can just pick them up easily

Re: Crown display ideas?

I've been having the same problem trying to figure out how to do my headbands. They're the fabric kind that go all the way around your head and have elastic in the back. I wanted to do tubes but thought they would be too hard for people to get to the ones in the middle without messing up all the in between ones. I ended up doing a little clothesline and hanging a few from there then having the rest laid out on the table below. I also labeled each headband with a size using some jewelry sized price tags I got from Walmart.

I can't figure out how to link directly to the picture, but you can see it on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/jillybeanjar. I didn't want the clothesline too tall that it would block my view, so I hung it between 2 wire cubes. It ended up being a really good height.

Re: Crown display ideas?

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I LOVE this team!

Flavia - did you see how I display my hats?! LOL! It's exactly what you described!

Jill, I like the clothesline idea very much. It'll be easy to get them on and off, and also brings some height variation.

I do have the crowns labeled but I think I'll add color codes with highlighters for the different sizes. That would make it easier to grab the correct size.

Any other ideas for me?
