Fake coins, & bullion being sold on Etsy

I have never seen so much fake numismatic stuff being sold on Etsy.

Eventually it will have negative effects on all honest dealers.

I think we should all as start sending emails to Etsy.

None of it meets their 20 year old policy.

Please join me in complaining about this to Etsy.

Thanks, Richard

Re: Fake coins, & bullion being sold on Etsy

I'm not surprised.  Etsy really has changed a lot.  So much stuff on here is not vintage or even handmade but makes Etsy a lot of money.  In the design challenge or whatever that contest is, the vintage items were upcycled items with one or two "real" vintage items.  I've seen a shop selling "Hallmark" cookie cutters and somehow or another this shop is able to maintain 20 of each cutter.  My guess this shop is printing cookie cutters and selling them under the category of "vintage Hallmark cookie cutters".  You can try and email Etsy.  You can try and report an item but I don't think Etsy cares. If this person is bringing in buyers...buyers mean money...which mean board member's are happy...which mean bigger stock dividends.  I wish you the best.  Let me know how it goes.  take care gina
